SUNDAY SCHOOL—FOR AGES PRE-K THROUGH GRADE 6

Our dynamic Sunday School curriculum is open to all! Our young people will discover and learn through Bible study, discussions, videos, and creative play. Classes start the Sunday, September 17 and meet from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. New kids are always welcome. Just follow the banner after the 9:00 a.m. service. Children gather by age group:

  • > Godly Play for children pre-K through Kindergarten 
    > Holy Moly for children in grades 1–3 
    > Connect for children in grades4–6

YOUTH GROUPS—FOR YOUTH GRADES 5 THROUGH GRADE 12

St. Chrysostom’s has two youth groups that meet on select Sundays and Fridays—games, fellowship, snacks and God—and participate in service and mission trips. Both groups are open to all youth whether or not they are affiliated with St. Chrys.

  • > Beeswax is our junior youth group for grades 5 & 6—friends welcome! 
    > The Bridge is our senior youth group for grades 7–12—friends welcome!

CONFIRMATION CLASS—FOR YOUTH GRADE 7 AND UP

Youth in grade 7 and up who are seeking to learn about and form a deeper relationship with Christ are invited to join our Confirmation Class. The Confirmation Class meets at 10:00 AM on Sunday mornings in the North Room (second floor, next to the kitchen).

CHILDREN’S CHOIR—FOR AGES 4 AND UP

Our Children’s Choir program is a wonderful way for youngsters to learn to sing with confidence; experience and respond to sacred music, old and new; collaborate with others; and learn to form a cohesive and beautiful sound.

NEXT PARENT’S NIGHT OUT

Parents, please join us Friday, November 17 for our next bi-monthly Parents' Night Out. Childcare provided from 5:30 p.m. for children through age 10. Children's dinner provided—pizza, carrots, fruit—plus movie, popcorn, craftsParents' catered dinner with wine and other beverages beginning at 6:00 p.m.

SUNDAY ADULT FORUM 

Each Sunday* from 10:00-10:50 a.m. through December 10

This fall, St. Chrysostom’s Adult Forum features distinguished speakers on the history and causes of mass incarceration in our country: on the harm it has caused especially in African-American communities, and on some of the efforts to improve the criminal justice that are now underway in Illinois and elsewhere. Note: no Forum on Sunday, October 8.
