CHRYSOSTOM’S AT THE HEART OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO In the Great Commission Jesus said: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations … And remember I am with you always ...” (Matthew 28:19-20) Our mission is to tell everyone the good news of God’s love in Jesus Christ, and to invite them to hear God’s call to follow Jesus as a disciple. Our mission is always centered in the worship of the church, according to The Book of Common Prayer, with a commitment to excellence in word and music. Our mission also includes: education for children, for youth, for adults, and St. Chrysostom’s Day School; welcoming the newcomer; building a welcoming and inclusive community life and hospitality; reaching beyond ourselves in outreach and wider mission; faithful pastoral care; and being faithful stewards of our resources of money and property and people.
