The Church
‍Firmly anchored in the Anglican tradition, with liturgy and formation as the primary focus, and with a deep conviction, renewed in every generation, St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church has stood as a constant welcoming place of worship and gathering, with its doors open to all, for more than 130 years. The church provides its parishioners and those throughout the Chicago community with a beautiful and peaceful place to worship God and experience a loving community. Led by gifted musicians, our music program features weekly choral artists and special concerts throughout the year. St. Chrysostom’s embraces the wider community through its feeding programs and partnering with neighboring nonprofits to serve the city’s elderly, the homeless and refugees.

The Day School
‍Founded in 1974 as a modest parish initiative, St. Chrysostom’s Day School has grown over the past 52 years into one of Chicago’s most respected early childhood programs. Today, the school welcomes families from across the city who seek its distinctive combination of play-based learning, nurturing community and grounding in Episcopal values. At the heart of the program is a strong commitment to play-based learning, where children are encouraged to explore, question, create and discover through meaningful hands-on experiences. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child while fostering a lifelong love of learning. The school’s citywide reputation reflects the same spirit of welcome, compassion and service that has defined St. Chrysostom’s from its earliest days.
