Day School

Welcome to our New Head of School!

I am truly honored and excited to join the St. Chrysostom’s Day School community as Head of School. For nearly 30 years, I have been fortunate to work alongside children, families, and educators in schools that value curiosity, kindness, and a love of learning.

As a parent of three, I understand the trust families place in their school communities. I look forward to getting to know each of you, partnering with our outstanding faculty and staff, and building on St. Chrysostom’s strong traditions as we help every child grow with confidence, compassion, and joy.

Our Legacy

Mary Ellen Christy, Founder of St. Chrysostom’s Day School

Mary Ellen Christy founded St. Chrysostom’s Day School 52 years ago with a vision of early education rooted in curiosity, compassion, and community. She believed in nurturing the whole child—balancing academic growth with social-emotional development and a strong sense of belonging.

Her leadership established a warm, inclusive environment where children are known and valued, and where families and educators work in close partnership. Today, her legacy continues to shape the school’s mission and the experience of every student.
