Diocese of Chicago

“The Christian religion” author Kathleen Norris has written, “asks us to put our trust not in ideas, and certainly not in ideologies, but in a God who was vulnerable enough to become human and die, and who desires to be present to us in our ordinary circumstances.”

The Episcopal Diocese of Chicago welcomes anyone who believes in—or simply wants to know more about—that God. We are a vital community of 40,000 people in 124 congregations across northern Illinois. Through the work of parishes and missions, social outreach agencies and campus ministries we devote ourselves to three simple goals: Grow the Church. Form the faithful. Change the world. Join us in our worship and our work as we share the bread of life with a hungry world.
